This listing is for a beautiful silver and crushed stone composite butterfly pendant/brooch by Ava combined with a snake chain necklace of equal beauty by Paolo Romeo. Per research, both pieces are dating back to the 1980s and, as they were purchased together at an estate sale, I do believe they were paired up by their original owner. Love how substantial these pieces are! The combined weight of both pieces is 53.3 grams and they are made really well.
The stones used in the AVA brooch/pendant appear to be a composite of crushed natural stones. When examining them closely, one can see a fine mosaic-like pattern on the surface. The back of the butterfly is stamped with small butterfly images, AVA, 925.
