Vintage terracotta butter dish by American Container Co. This butter dish has a textured lid with a floral and leaf design on top and striped, ribbed sides. The top of the bottom dish (where the butter sits) is glazed and speckled. The bottom is not glazed and says AMERICAN CONTAINER CO. AND GARDENA CAL MADE IN. The top cover is not glazed.
It is pre-owned, with an oil spot or discoloration on the bottom, the side of the cover dish (inside and outside), and on the leaves on top. Otherwise, it is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
